The Curé of Ars on Prayer

"All saints began their conversion by prayer, and through prayer they persevered. All the damned were lost because they neglected prayer." —St. John Vianney
BAM! St John knew what he was talking about. He was a powerful confessor, and had to clean up an entire area because of neglect by bad priests and because of the French Revolution.
Fun fact: As far as I know, he is the only parish priest to be canonized.

St John Vianney, from Wiki.
Christ is always with us, and God will always hear us. When asking for intercession from a saint, sometimes you need to be specific (Fr Z says this about St. Joseph). But, sometimes our speech fails us, particularly in times of struggle and suffering.. God knows what is in our hearts and minds, and that's all that counts.

As we move into November, which is the month of the Holy Souls, remember the Four Last Things, which are:

  1. Death
  2. Judgment
  3. Heaven
  4. Hell
We will die, will be judged, and will spend eternity somewhere. So, pray! Hell is awful; there are no relationships, and it hurts, well, like Hell. So, pray and demonstrate your faiths through good works. Let's all become saints.
