Tolkien on the Eucharist

Yes, yes, yes! Anyone reading Tolkien through a Catholic lens will understand how he uses the bread throughout the Lord of the Rings work to illustrate the effects of Holy Communion on the body and soul. It's not allegorical, but rather I think he uses it to show how Holy Communion permeates the whole of life.
