1) Received a reply in the mail from Cardinal Burke! I love snail mail, actually. It's nice to get something from someone, especially when you are the priority. The letter is dated February 28th, as if he didn't have anything better to do. He also sent a souvenir picture and prayer card with the images of Benedict XVI on them, in a lasting reminder to cooperate with the Truth, and to move forward with the New Evangelization. He was also pleased to hear that I was looking at C-dom and Franciscan, and that I have begun serving the Extraordinary Form.
2) There is hope for atheists like Penn Jillette and Mario Vargas Llosa yet! By the grace of God which is given freely, and to all of us, of course. I also have no clue what Mr. Morgan means by 'young Catholics,' since the ones who stay in the Church are faithful and seek all that is Good, True, and Beautiful!
I have no idea why no one else bothered publishing the full text of his column, which is very insightful; it should be noted as a legacy of Benedict's pontificate, where he was the most learned (and wise) Pope of the last century perhaps, that the Truth can be and is given to those who are outside the Church, albeit imperfectly. Anyways, mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa for sending you to the National Schismatic Reporter.
3) Found this awesome quote on Facebook:
“Silence. Be alone with Him in your heart. Our Lady was silent, even at the Cross.”All I can say to that is that the Canon of the Mass needs to be restored to what it was in the Mass of [now-] Saint John XXIII, and needs to be said vox secreta.
—Blessed Teresa of Calcutta
4) Happy Feast of St. Thomas Aquinas in the traditional calendar!
