The Chaplet of the Fiat!

Last year, a priest of the Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, Father Zachary, celebrated Holy Mass for the feast of the Assumption and delivered his talk on the Fiat of Our Lady. Remember, this was her "Yes!" to God: Behold the handmaid of the Lord, be it done unto me according to Thy word (Latin: Ecce ancilla Domine, fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum).

(UPDATED for clarity on his present situation!) His work has led to the establishment of a group of priests and a group of sisters dedicated to Our Lady's Fiat. There are two 'sisters' currently in Louisville, and more are expected to discern with them. I will work to get more information! The sisters are awesome!! It is so good to be around them for the spiritual growth of everyone who hangs out with them.  I really hope their order booms.

Anyways, the sisters and the mom who has been really working to support them (and who brought Fr. Zachary to Louisville among other glorious things...) put together the Chaplet of the Fiat, published with the permission of our pastor at St. Martin of Tours.

It is prayed as such:
  1. Start with the Our Father, Hail Mary, and the Apostles' Creed.
  2. On the five beads following the Crucifix, pray the Memorare.
  3. On each of the five "Our Father" beads (large beads), pray the Hail Holy Queen.
  4. Pray on the ten "Hail Mary" beads (small beads), pray "Behold the handmaid the Lord: Be it done unto me according to Thy word."
  5. Close with the Consecration prayer.
The text of the Consecration prayer can be found here, in a PDF format, along with how to pray the Chaplet. Go to the main page of the website, where links are found to the awesome reflections on the Fiat. You can print out the PDF, or get some more, so you can use them and give them to friends and family.
