Update on the Blog

Well, today is the Second Sunday of Easter of Divine Mercy, Quasimodo Sunday, Dominica in name it, it's appropriate and somehow relates to the private revelation of Divine Mercy as given by Our Lord to St. Faustina Kowalska. More on that maybe...I'm so sorry. I love this devotion, and it hurts not having time to post on it.

That also means, in this year of our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ 2014, that Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II have solemnly been declared to have received the beatific vision and thus have a universal liturgical and devotional cult.

I have edited all the tags to read "Saint John Paul II" and "Saint John XXIII." Mostly I have left the text alone, with two exceptions. I changed two references to the Mass of Blessed John XXIII to read "the Mass of [now-] Saint John XXIII." Can you believe it? The Missal as edited and promulgated by Saint Pius V was again edited by several of John's venerable predecessors, including Blessed Pius IX, Venerable Pius XII, and then himself, now raised to the altar of sanctity. Beautiful.
